e-skills UK is developing strategic plans for each of the nations of the UK. Based on research input from over 4,000 employers, their purpose is to set out a coherent suite of skills strategies that enable each nation to derive maximum benefit from the power of technology to transform competitiveness and productivity.

Consultation on the 5-year strategic plan for England

e-skills UK would like to thank all those who recently contributed to the consultation on our strategic plan for England. We greatly value your input as it will allow us to direct our energies towards the issues that really matter to the IT & Telecoms sector.

As we analyse your contributions, we shall gain a greater understanding of your views on subjects ranging from addressing the gender imbalance, updating the school curriculum and deepening links between industry and Higher Education, to improving access to learning for IT professionals in small companies and making the best use of public funding for training provision.

Further information will be posted on this site in due course.

NB: The new strategic plans for England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland will replace the 2005-2008 strategies laid out as part of our Sector Skills Agreements.
