ITQ Provider Guide for Wales

This ITQ Provider Guide has been developed to help Welsh training providers include ITQ in their course and qualification portfolio.

The purpose of the Guide is to set out the principles of best practice delivery, with advice and information on implementing ITQ within a training organisation in Wales. The Guide also contains resources to assist in employer engagement and marketing for ITQ.

This Guide is an additional resource and supplement to the main ITQ website, giving additional advice, guidance and case studies for providers in Wales. Hyperlinks to relevant web pages are included where appropriate.

Details of the ITQ qualification structure and assessment are to be found on the main site (This link will open this section in a new window).

What do providers say?

ITQ is a “useful vocational course…a well thought of qualification, with realistic tasks for students to take

ITQ provides opportunities for tailoring the IT training to people’s job roles “and make it specific to what they are doing on a day to day basis”.

Providers should also read the more general ITQ Provider Guide. Download the ITQ Provider Guide (October 2006, pdf 1.06Mb)

Quotes

Learners commented that e-Skills passport is “very fun and engaging … great advantage of being able to dip in and out of the passport to update skill level ... great to walk away with a printout recognising existing skills”. - Tanya bedford, Peterborough Adult Learning Service
