IT and Telecoms Insights 2008 

Purpose

The 'IT and Telecoms Insights 2008' suite of reports covers today's reality and forecasts the future based on the best available global intelligence, considering the needs of all those who have a role to play in driving the IT and Telecoms skills agenda, including:

• all those working in IT and Telecoms firms;
• IT users and IT & Telecoms professionals working in other industries;
• business managers and leaders that need to be equipped to realise the potential of ICT;
• national and regional policy makers;
• those responsible for developing and improving the ICT skills of the current/future workforce and
• individuals requiring the knowledge and skills to fully participate in the e-economy.

Strategic planning

On the basis of this 'Insights' research, e-skills UK will work with employers and partners to develop strategic plans for the four nations of the UK. Their delivery will help to ensure that the UK is world class in technology skills, able to derive maximum benefit from the power of technology to improve competitiveness and productivity.
